"Daddy's Little Girl"

Ah...where do I begin? Lily loves her daddy. When he gets home from work and she hears his voice her little legs start to kick full speed and her eyes are wondering all over the room looking for him. When he kneels down to talk to her her face lights up and she smiles from ear to ear. She immediately starts talking and laughing and telling him stories. I often sit back and quite honestly get a little jealous but then realize I wouldn't want it any other way. The bond they have already at her young age amazes me. I love seeing them play, laugh, and often times fall asleep together on the couch. It truly makes me feel complete. Like my family is perfect. I have been so blessed to have such an amazing life. I know Lily will grow up and always be a daddy's girl. He will always be the one to sneak her candy before dinner and do whatever she wants whenever she wants. (Even if that entails playing dress up or having a tea party!) He is so cute when it comes to her. I see in his eyes that she means the world to him and he wants her to have the very best that life can bring her always and forever.

I love you Shaun and Lily. You are my world.

Ears Pierced!

Lily got her ears pierced and she did such a good job! She looks so adorable. Auntie Jenn is the one who held her because mommy didn't want to be "that person". She didn't cry for the first one but screamed when they did the second. I couldn't believe how fast the whole thing happened. She cried for about a minute total and then was back to her normal happy self. We had lunch and shopped and she did so well!! Good job baby girl.

5 months!

Our sweet little Lily is officially 5 months old today! It is so crazy how time flies. It seems like it was just weeks ago when she came into this big world...She is doing so well and getting so big. Last doctors appointment she weighed 13lbs and was 24 1/2 inches long! She is getting stronger everyday, holding her head up, trying to sit up, rolling over ect. She is so sweet but she is indeed showing signs that she has her daddy's temper!!! She takes after her daddy a lot. (especially in the looks department!!) We love hearing her talk and giggle and especially belly laugh. It makes our hearts melt. Who would have thought one could love someone SO MUCH?! We love every second of being parents and can't wait to see what she does next!!! Happy 5 months baby girl!

Little Lily

When I say little- I do mean little. Lily was born 5 weeks early and came into this world weighing only 4 pounds 8 oz. She was tiny but our love for her was HUGE. She stayed in the NICU for awhile just to make sure she was healthy, breathing on her own and strong enough to handle the world around her. Turns out she was all that and more....We were so ecstatic when we got to bring our sweet bundle of joy home! Just seeing her in her car seat made us realize how tiny she actually was...don't let her fool you though, she might be little but she sure is feisty! We love you Lily Ryan!
